The Doug Stewart Podcast
I come from a long line of storytellers.
My mother was (and is) one of the best storytellers i've ever met. As a kid, I was captivated by her quick and witty stories. Sometimes, to scare me into good behavior, and other times to teach me how to think, love, laugh, and play. I learned that stories were a tool to express yourself and influence others.
My Grandfather was also a master storyteller, I remember sitting on his lap, bursting with excitement as he told me story after story. His stories taught me how to think and what it meant to be an entrepreneur.
Then there was Grandma. One the nights, I would stay the night at her house, she would tuck me in and tell me stories where I was the hero. From her, I learned how stories burthed confidence and the willingness to have courage even when adversity strikes.
On this podcast, we will focus on a wide variety of topics.
So, come along for the ride. The story is just beginning.

“You can’t know where YOU'RE going, till you know where you’ve been”.
- Maya Angelou
I was born in a furniture store… sort of. From the time I came into this world, I was either going to, coming from, or talking about our family furniture store. I didn't always love it, but as an adult, I cherish the fact that I spent most of my time with my parents and grandparents at work.
I saw firsthand what it took to be an entrepreneur and to make a way for yourself. To this day, I still love the furniture business. This podcast, we focus on the stories that make retail worth doing.
